I'm not sure if anyone has posted about this movie before, but I saw it for the first time yesterday so figured I'd do a poast. what are your thoughts on it? I thought it was pretty, powerful and absolutely amazing.

I agree. I also read the book, which was even more powerful since I think I missed parts of the movie by not being able to see what was going on. I think there is a version with audio description available, but I did not get it.

we had to watch that in my Senior Projects class in high school, and i loved it. bawled my eyes out. ever since we finished it in class, i've wondered if it was based on a true story.

Well, I don't know about that, but I know it's based on a book. I have the dvs version of it, thought it's only audio.

It's been a few years since I saw it, but I remember it being a very good powerful movie. One of the only sad movies I like.
